On 1st January 2019 Bahrain implemented Value Added Tax (VAT), becoming the third GCC country to do so.
At the end of each VAT period, the VAT payer will have until the last calendar day of the following month (filing period month) to submit the VAT Return Form
Filing in 2019
From 2020, businesses with turnover exceeding BHD 3m will file on a monthly basis. All other businesses will file on a quarterly basis, but may request monthly filing.
